第31回日本臨床口腔病理学会総会・学術大会を2020年8月5-7日に愛知学院大学で開催させていただきます。本大会を私ども愛知学院大学歯学部口腔病理学講座が担当させていただきますことにつきまして、会員の皆様に深く感謝申し上げますとともに、ご協力をよろしくお願い申し上げます。
本大会のテーマは「口腔病理の新たな展開」とさせていただきました。このテーマで様々な方面からパネラーをお呼びして、参加者の皆様と一緒に「口腔病理の日常診断と口腔がんの予防」について考えて参りたいと思っております。会員の皆様方におかれましては、症例検討をはじめ新たな成果をご発表いただきたく存じます。
特別講演（基調講演）としては、King's College LondonよりSaman Warnakulasuriya先生 をお迎えして“Oral potentially malignant disorders”という課題でお話をいただくことになっております。また、この講演と供に、長尾徹先生（愛知学院大学歯学部）から口腔がんの早期発見と予防について口腔外科医の見地からお話をいただき、口腔病理の口腔がん予防への新たな展開を模索するシンポジウムを企画しています。
その他のシンポジウムとして「口腔血管腫瘍：病理学的基礎とバリエーション」をテーマにして、多田豊廣 先生（豊川市民病院 病理診断科）に「血管腫瘍の概要」、元井亨 先生（都立駒込病院 病理科）に「血管腫瘍の分子診断」、長谷川博雅 先生（松本歯科大学）に「口腔血管新生物のまれな亜種」を日常の口腔病理診断でのピットホールとして講演して頂きます。また、「唾液腺腫瘍の病理診断ーその実際と最近の進歩ー」について浦野 誠 先生（藤田医科大学）に「組織診断」、樋口佳代子 先生（沖縄協同病院）に「細胞診断」、宮部 悟 先生（愛知学院大学）に「分子病理学的診断」の内容で日常診断に役立つシンポジウムとして企画しています。
また、本大会では台湾と日本の口腔病理医の交流として「台湾ジョイントプレゼンテーション」を行います。
大会開催時の名古屋は大変暑く、またオリンピック開催期間中となりますが、名古屋B級グルメも美味しく魅力ある街ですので、是非とも楽しんでいただきたく思います。ご参加くださる皆様方に有意義な時間をお過ごしいただけますように準備を進めてまいります。一人でも多くの皆様のご参加を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。
Dear friends and colleagues,
It gives me immense pleasure to announce that the 31st annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Oral Pathology will be hosted by Aichi Gakuin University, Nagoya on 5–7 August, 2020. We, the members of the Department of Oral Pathology, School of Dentistry, Aichi Gakuin University, are deeply honored to have been put in charge of the local organizing committee, and we would like to invite you to be a part of this meeting and help make it a grand success.
The main theme of the meeting will be “New Development in Oral Pathology”. We would like to invite panelists from various fields to discuss this theme with the participants in regard to daily diagnosis in oral pathology and prevention of oral cancer. We hope opportunities will arise for interesting new results and case studies to be presented.
As a special guest (keynote) lecture, Professor Saman Warnakulasuriya from King’s College London will be invited to discuss the topic “Potentially Malignant Oral Disorders”. In addition to this lecture, we are planning a symposium in which Professor Toru Nagao (Aichi Gakuin University) will speak about the early detection and prevention of oral cancer from an oral surgeon’s perspective, and explore new developments in oral pathology for oral cancer prevention.
Moreover, with regard to pitfalls in daily oral pathology diagnosis, a symposium with the theme “Oral Vascular Tumors: Pathological Basics and Variations” will be conducted. A symposium entitled “Vascular Tumors” will be given by Dr. Toyohiro Tada (Toyokawa City Hospital). Dr. Toru Motoi (Tokyo Metropolitan Komagome Hospital) will discuss “Molecular Diagnosis of Vascular Tumors”, and Professor Hiromasa Hasegawa (Matsumoto Dental University) will give a lecture on a “Rare Subspecies of Oral Vascular Neoplasms”. Furthermore, as a symposium hoped to be useful for daily diagnosis, “Pathological Diagnosis of Salivary Gland Tumors: Practice and Recent Progress” will include topics such as “Tissue Diagnosis” by Dr. Makoto Urano (Fujita Medical University), “Cell Diagnosis” by Dr. Kayoko Higuchi (Okinawa Kyodo Hospital), and “Molecular Pathological Diagnosis” by Dr. Satoru Miyabe (Aichi Gakuin University)
In addition, at this meeting, a “Taiwan Joint Presentation” will be held as an exchange between oral pathologists in Taiwan and Japan.
During the conference period, the 2020 Olympics will be held in Japan. Although Nagoya is an attractive city with delicious cuisine and numerous attractions to enjoy, the weather can be quite hot and humid. We hope you will enjoy your visit.
